Vertex Labs materials are supplied solely for lawful laboratory and non-clinical research. They are not for human consumption, veterinary use, medical treatment, diagnosis or personal use.
Research use & eligibility
Who can purchase from Vertex Labs?
We accept orders from businesses and individual researchers aged 21 or older who purchase solely for lawful laboratory and non-clinical research.
Purchasing as an individual does not permit personal use, human consumption or veterinary use. Review our Research Use Only & Purchaser Eligibility Policy before ordering.
What does “Research Use Only” mean?
These materials are offered for laboratory, analytical and other non-clinical research activities. They are not offered for administration to humans or animals, clinical care, diagnosis, treatment or personal use.
A research-use label or COA does not establish FDA approval, clinical safety or suitability for administration.
Can you provide dosing or administration instructions?
No. Vertex Labs does not provide dosing recommendations, injection instructions, treatment protocols, medical advice or veterinary advice. We also do not provide reconstitution instructions for personal use.
Our team can assist with product identification, published documentation, lot information and order support. Researchers are responsible for their lawful laboratory procedures and applicable institutional requirements.
Testing & COAs
Is every lot tested before it becomes available?
Yes. Vertex submits samples from every lot to an independent third-party laboratory before making that lot available for sale. Our sampling practice is one vial for every 100 vials.
This is a sampling process, not a separate analysis of every vial. Results apply to the samples examined and the tests identified in the laboratory report.
Do you use COAs supplied by the manufacturer?
No. We commission independent third-party testing and do not use manufacturer- or supplier-provided COAs as a substitute for that testing. The issuing laboratory is identified on each report.
What is your minimum purity requirement?
For peptides and other research compounds evaluated by a purity assay, our minimum acceptance criterion is a reported purity of 98.0%. If a lot fails this requirement, the entire lot is rejected and discarded.
Interpret the percentage using the material, method and reporting basis in the applicable report. A single percentage for a blend or formulated solution should not be assumed to characterize every component separately.
Where can I find and verify the COA for my lot?
Visit our COA directory and open the complete laboratory report. Compare the product identification and lot number in the PDF with the information on your vial.
Review the report date, methods, results and limitations. Where the laboratory provides a verification code or QR code, follow its instructions. A filename, directory heading or report for another lot does not verify your material.
If you need to confirm the lot currently available before ordering, email info@vertexpeptideslab.org. An archived report does not establish that its lot is currently in stock.
What if a report is missing or the lot number does not match?
Email info@vertexpeptideslab.org with the product name, lot number exactly as printed, report link and order number, if applicable. A clear photograph of the label can help us identify the discrepancy.
Do not rely on a different lot’s report. Keep material with an unresolved identification or quality concern separate from material being used in your research while the issue is reviewed.
Do your COAs establish sterility or endotoxin testing?
No. Our current documented program does not include separate lot-specific reports for sterility, bacterial endotoxins, heavy metals or residual solvents.
A purity result does not establish that those tests were performed. “Third-party tested” refers to the analyses actually documented for the relevant lot. Review our Testing Standards & COA Verification Process for the current scope.
Shipping & delivery
Where do you ship, and which carriers do you use?
We ship only within the United States and Puerto Rico. UPS is our primary carrier. For the limited number of addresses not served by UPS, we may use USPS.
What are the free-shipping thresholds?
The qualifying subtotal is calculated after discounts and before taxes:
- $150+
- Free UPS Ground
- $250+
- Free UPS 2nd Day Air
- $600+
- Free UPS Next Day service
Orders of exactly $150, $250 or $600 qualify for the corresponding tier. The same thresholds apply to Puerto Rico. Carrier services remain subject to availability at the delivery address.
See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for the full conditions.
What is the same-day shipping cutoff?
Orders received before 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time are processed and handed over for shipment the same day, seven days a week.
Processing and carrier handoff are separate from carrier transit. Delivery timing depends on the selected service, destination and carrier schedule.
Does a Sunday drop-off mean the package starts moving that day?
Not necessarily. We hand over Sunday shipments in person at a UPS Store. The carrier’s collection, first transportation scan or movement may occur on its next scheduled operating day.
A Sunday handoff does not guarantee Sunday movement, next-calendar-day delivery or that weekend and holiday days count as transit days.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Email info@vertexpeptideslab.org immediately with your order number and the correct address. We will check whether the order can still be updated.
Address changes cannot be guaranteed after dispatch. Issues caused by incorrect or incomplete address information are reviewed under our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
Cancellations & refunds
Can I cancel my order?
Email info@vertexpeptideslab.org as soon as possible with your order number. Orders can be canceled only before shipment.
An approved cancellation before shipment receives a full refund to the original payment method. Sending a request does not itself confirm cancellation; we must check the order’s shipment status. Orders cannot be canceled after dispatch.
Do you accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind?
We do not accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges, and returned research materials are not accepted for resale.
This does not remove the remedies described in our Refund, Returns & Cancellation Policy for eligible incorrect or damaged products, or rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Do not send a return unless we provide instructions.
When will an approved refund be issued?
Vertex issues approved refunds to the original payment method within 5 calendar days after approval.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the credit. If you need help checking a refund, contact us with your order number.
Damaged, incorrect & lost items
What if I receive an incorrect or damaged product?
Email info@vertexpeptideslab.org within 7 calendar days after delivery. Include:
- Your order number and the affected product.
- A brief description of the issue.
- Clear photographs of the item, label and shipping packaging, when safely available.
We replace eligible incorrect or damaged products at no additional cost, including replacement shipping. Keep relevant packaging for review when safe, and do not return an item unless we provide instructions.
What happens if my shipment is lost?
Contact info@vertexpeptideslab.org with your order number and tracking information. Once a shipment is determined to be lost, we promptly send a replacement at no additional cost.
Our shipments are insured, and Vertex handles the carrier claim. You do not have to wait for the carrier to reimburse us before we replace a confirmed lost shipment.
Tracking says delivered, but I cannot find the package. What should I do?
Check the delivery location and with others at the address, then contact us promptly with your order number and tracking information. We will review the available delivery details with you.
A delivered scan does not prevent you from reporting a missing shipment for review. The circumstances of the delivery and the available carrier information must be assessed before a resolution is confirmed.
