Privacy questions and requests: info@vertexpeptideslab.org
This Policy explains our information practices. It is not a request for consent to every use of information described below. Accepting our purchase terms or confirming your age does not, by itself, provide separate consent to optional marketing or advertising tracking.
1. Who we are and what this Policy covers
Greenrock Investment Group LLC, doing business as Vertex Labs (“Vertex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates vertexpeptideslab.org. This Policy covers personal information connected with our website, online store, customer accounts, email communications, and customer support.
We supply research-use-only materials to businesses and individual researchers who are at least 21 years old. We accept orders for delivery within the United States and Puerto Rico. These sales restrictions do not mean that all service providers process information exclusively within those locations.
Our mailing address is 782 NW 42 Ave, STE 341, Miami, FL 33126, United States.
2. Information you provide
The information we receive depends on your interaction with Vertex:
- Contact and account information: your name, email address, telephone number, username, account credentials, and organization information you choose to provide.
- Order information: billing and shipping addresses, products and quantities ordered, order notes, discounts, order history, payment status, transaction references, and shipping or delivery records.
- Customer service information: messages, documentation requests, product or lot references, photographs, and other attachments you submit about an order, shipment, or product concern.
- Preferences and declarations: email subscription choices, marketing preferences, and age or research-use acknowledgments you submit.
- Voluntary content: reviews, comments, or other material you submit through a feature that accepts such content.
Payment information is also processed by the payment providers involved in your transaction, as explained below. Do not include full payment-card details, security codes, medical records, or sensitive personal information in order notes or general support messages.
3. Information collected through website and email activity
Our website and connected services collect technical and interaction information. This can include IP addresses, browser and device characteristics, cookie or similar identifiers, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring pages, campaign identifiers, timestamps, and pages or links accessed.
Shopping activity can include product views, searches, wishlist activity, cart additions, checkout activity, purchases, and interactions with product documentation. Email activity can include delivery information, opens, and link clicks. The events available to a particular service depend on its configuration and your browser or email settings.
We receive information directly from you, through these technologies, and from providers that support payments, shipping, account authentication, communications, and advertising measurement. Information associated with an account, order, device, or other identifier may be connected across these interactions.
4. How we use information
- Process payments and orders, arrange shipments, provide tracking, and address cancellations, refunds, delivery problems, or product discrepancies.
- Create and maintain customer accounts, authenticate access, and communicate about account activity.
- Respond to questions and provide product documentation, including lot-related information and Certificates of Analysis.
- Send service messages and email marketing, administer promotions, and manage subscription preferences.
- Understand website performance, investigate checkout problems, evaluate campaigns, and measure advertising or referral attribution.
- Support advertising audiences and relevant advertising through the services described in this Policy.
- Detect fraud or misuse, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
Referral links and coupon codes can help attribute purchases and administer our affiliate program. Attribution information may be included in reports available to the relevant referral partner or marketing provider.
5. Providers and other recipients
Information is processed by or disclosed to providers according to the services they perform:
- Website hosting and operation: our storefront runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, with hosting provided by Bluehost. Store records and website information are processed within this hosting environment and through connected website services.
- Payments: Bankful and the financial institutions or processing partners involved in your payment process transaction information. A hosted payment page may collect payment details directly. Vertex receives information needed to associate the payment with an order and handle payment-related support.
- Shipping: Shippo and the carrier fulfilling your shipment receive information needed for labels, delivery, tracking, and shipment inquiries.
- Email: Omnisend supports our email marketing and related customer communications. Google supports website and business email delivery through our mail configuration.
- Analytics and advertising: Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok, Microsoft Clarity, and Tracklution support the activities described in Section 6. Our advertising agency, Icarus, administers Tracklution on our behalf.
- Business support: advisers and service providers may receive information needed for accounting, technical support, security, dispute resolution, or other work they perform for Vertex.
We may also disclose information when legally required, to respond to valid legal process, to address fraud or threats to rights or safety, or in connection with a proposed or completed business transaction such as a merger or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law.
Some providers also process information for their own purposes under their privacy notices. A provider’s notice does not replace Vertex’s responsibilities for information practices under our control.
6. Analytics, advertising, and session replay
Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics through Site Kit to understand traffic sources and website activity. Google processes technical identifiers and usage information associated with its services. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Meta and TikTok: our connected integrations support advertising measurement, conversion attribution, and advertising audiences. Depending on the integration settings, event information can include pages or products viewed, cart and checkout activity, purchases, device identifiers, and contact identifiers used for matching. Matching features may transmit hashed contact information; hashing does not necessarily make information anonymous.
Microsoft Clarity: we use Clarity to analyze how visitors interact with the website through interaction metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. This can include page visits, clicks, scrolling, and navigation. The information helps identify usability problems and evaluate website and marketing performance. Clarity uses cookies and related technologies, and Microsoft processes information as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Tracklution and Icarus: Icarus uses Tracklution for tracking and conversion measurement for Vertex. Tracklution can process technical identifiers and shopping events and route event information to enabled analytics or advertising connections. Its processing can involve browser-based tracking and server-to-server event transmission. See the Tracklution Privacy Policy.
Advertising providers may connect information from our website with information from their platforms or other websites over time. Disclosures of identifiers and browsing or transaction activity for advertising may constitute “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising under applicable privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged for the information.
8. Email marketing and service messages
We use Omnisend for email marketing. Our current Omnisend program does not include SMS marketing. Email-related information can include your email address, subscription status, purchase or shopping activity associated with your profile, and interactions with messages.
You can stop marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in a marketing message or by contacting info@vertexpeptideslab.org. We may retain a suppression record to respect your choice and avoid adding you back to marketing unintentionally.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary messages about an order, payment, shipment, account security, or a request you submitted. Providing an email address for an order is not, by itself, consent to every form of marketing or tracking.
9. Guest checkout, accounts, and Google sign-in
Our store permits guest checkout. You can also create an account during checkout or through the account page. An account allows order and contact information to be associated with your profile.
When you choose Sign in with Google, Google provides authentication and the account information needed for that feature, such as an account identifier, email address, and available profile information. Google handles your Google credentials; you should not send us your Google password.
You can review or update information available within your account or contact us for assistance. Closing an account does not automatically erase every related order, payment, support, or legal record.
10. Retention and deletion
Our WooCommerce store currently has no fixed automatic deletion periods configured for customer accounts or orders. Inactivity, a failed payment, or cancellation therefore does not, by itself, trigger scheduled deletion through those settings. Records can remain until a manual retention action or a deletion request is processed.
When evaluating whether information can be removed, we consider the purpose of the record, ongoing orders or support matters, tax and accounting requirements, fraud prevention, payment disputes, legal claims, and other applicable retention obligations. Different records may require different treatment.
Backups may contain earlier versions of information and are not necessarily changed when a live record is edited or removed. The scope and timing of deletion must take account of applicable backup rules and legal exceptions. Providers also retain information according to the relevant service configuration, their obligations, and their privacy notices.
You may request deletion using the contact details below. We will explain any applicable reason for retaining information that cannot be deleted in response to your request.
11. Privacy requests and applicable rights
Depending on your state of residence and the law applicable to Vertex’s processing, you may have rights to access information, obtain a copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, or limit certain uses of sensitive information. Applicable rights and exceptions vary.
Send requests to info@vertexpeptideslab.org. Describe the request and provide enough information to locate the relevant account or records. You may also write to our mailing address. An account is not required to submit a request.
For access, correction, or deletion, we may reasonably verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. Opt-out requests are not subject to identity verification where the law prohibits that requirement. An authorized agent may submit a request with appropriate proof of authority.
We will handle applicable requests within legally required periods and explain any denial or permitted extension. Where an appeal is available, reply to our decision requesting a privacy appeal. You may also contact the appropriate regulator. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
12. Security and account protection
Our website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit between your browser and the website. Protection of information also depends on account access controls, hosting, website maintenance, and the services involved in a transaction. No website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Use a unique account password, keep your sign-in credentials private, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. Do not send passwords or complete payment-card information through ordinary email or support messages.
13. Age restrictions and research-related information
Our store is intended for eligible purchasers age 21 and older. Age and research-use acknowledgments are declarations, not independent verification of identity or professional qualifications. Our routine purchaser eligibility process does not require additional research-credential documentation.
Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Vertex, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Research materials are not offered for human or animal administration or medical use. We do not need diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment histories, or patient information to fulfill a research-material order. Please do not provide those details in forms, reviews, or support communications.
14. External services and processing locations
Our business is located in the United States. Providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries where they operate. The location of a provider’s processing is separate from the destinations to which Vertex ships products.
If you follow a link to an external laboratory, payment page, social platform, review service, or other third-party website, that service’s privacy notice applies to its own collection and use of information. Information you submit for public display may be visible to others. Avoid including private contact details or sensitive information in public content.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our services, information practices, or legal requirements change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required for a material change in how information is used.
An update to this Policy does not, by itself, authorize a use of previously collected information that requires separate consent or other legal authorization.
